My Review-

This is my second movie that I watched that was directed by Payne, and I like his films, from The Descendants to this one. I'am not really a fan of Reese Witherspoon, but I did like her in this movie as Tracy Flick this is possibly going to be my favorite movie with her. This movie was slow at times, but it worked that all the characters that were in the movie. I liked how each of the characters would come in and tell their little part of the story that intertwined with everyone else, seems like Payne knows how to do black comedy well and then turn into something entirely differently the next time in another scene which I liked about this movie. I think that MTV productions should make and produce more movies like this one. This is one of those movies that should not be missed, but at the same time its like a high school movie for adults and not so much teenagers. You would think a movie about running or class president would not be that interesting, but it is with everything that goes into it; the poster making, the speeches and finally the ballot count. Broderick's character did get a little annoying at times, for me I seems like if he couldn't be happy no body could be happy. Which is unprofessional, this movie made you root for Witherspoon's character and somewhat the rest of the people that were running for class president. Each character has just the right amount of screen time in this movie and each made their character stand out in the film. If you have ever wanted to watch a film by Payne start with this one or The Descendants which I also reviewed on my blog. Both of them are well acted, written and directed. This movie had some surprising performances that you would not see coming from the actors in the movie, I enjoyed this movie and I if you do chose to watch this movie anytime soon I hope you enjoy it too.
