My Review-

This is the second documentary that I have seen on horror movies, and this is by far the best one. I love horror movies, some of the old one and some new ones, and I really loved this documentary on the horror genre. It's the best one because it shows how horror movies evolved throughout the years until today. This documentary helped me realize how much horror films I still have not seen, and with so many out there I still have a long way to go. I liked how they had the top horror directors give commentary on what drove them to make the horror movie they're known for or what was going on during the time that their film was relevant. After watching this I can look at some horror movies differently and realize that during the time that they were made, they were made to reflect the times that they were in, or how they were able to express how people were feeling during that time. What this documentary also does is that it takes a look at why these movies appeal to us. Following this documentary it made me want to watch more horror movies, ones that I have not seen and the others I have seen already. It amazing to see how all the horror films mention in the documentary shaped our generations how we see things differently because of them, all horror movie fans should take a look at this documentary so you can enjoy it for what it is; in a way it is a love letter for all horror movies from the directors that made them. This is something that I can watch over and over again to see all the horror movies I have messed and too see how much they mean to the directors and creators of those stories. What also makes this documentary work is all the clips they use as examples for what they are explaining, with over 150 clips its done so well and how they movies effected the directors talking or what made them want to become filmmakers. If you love horror movies watch this, it is streaming on netflix and it is worth the watch.
