My Review-

The First time I watched "The Muppets" was their film "The Great Muppet Caper" which was released in 1981. Yes I know I wasn't born in 1981. but when i watched years later I instantly fell in love with the characters; to this day my favorite characters remain the same; Beaker, Fozzie and Animal. In 2008 when the hit comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" came out also written and starring Jason Segal, I immediately heard that he wanted to write a new Muppet screenplay, and seeing how he did a really great job with "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" I had faith that only a true to heart Muppet fan could write one, and Segal was the man for the job, that was in 2008. Jump 3 years later and "The Muppets" is one of the highest rated movies on rottentomatoes for the year, with a 97%, and it earned it too. without giving away any spoilers to this film if you have not seen it yet, the main story is that Kermit the Frog, with the help from Walter the biggest Muppet fan in the world, Walter's brother Gary and Gary's his longtime girlfriend played wonderfully by Jason Segal and Amy Adams. Together they must get the gang back together to save their studio from an oilman played by Chris Cooper, from tearing down their studio to drill for oil. right from the start this movie had me, it was like I was a little kid again, but finally seeing "The Muppets" on the big screen, I felt the same way when I saw "The Lion King" in theaters. this movie had everything from big name Cameos from; Dave Grohl to Neil Patrick Harris. Some of the truly best parts were the musical numbers and when they would break the fourth wall, like they have done in other films in the past. while watching the movie i had a smile on my face the whole time. They're very few movies that can make an audience feel like they are reliving their childhood again, but this film is one of them. Seeing all the Muppets on the big screen was wonderful, i don't see many children's movies in the theaters, but i am truly glad i saw this one. i agree with the critic above this movie made me feel warm and "Fozzie".
