My Review-

I think that I fell more in love with Emma Stone after watching this movie. This was a pretty damn funny from the whole entire cast, especially from Stone's on-screen Parents; Clarkson and Tucci, they were perfect as her parents I could not quite see anyone else doing as good as job as they did. One person I did not seeing doing a good job like she did was Amanda Bynes, her character was funny as Olive's sort of rival at the school or person who was trying to "save" her from her bad doings. This was Emma Stone's first role as the lead and she carried the movie very well as Olive Penderghast. I also love how there was references to hit movies from the 80s that were about high school, that was kind of in Stone's situation. This was one of the more funnier movies that I have seen in a long time, I think it is because some of the comedic timing was just right for this movie, from everyone in the movie, the only thing that I had a problem with in this movie, even though she was not in it for that long was Lisa Kudrow, to me I just do not think she is that funny. The movie also had good music, especially the recurring joke of "Pocketful of Sunshine", from Natasha Benningfield. Well I did like this movie, I kind of hoped that the parents were in the movie a little more because Clarkson and Tucci made the movie even funnier during the scenes at Olive's house. If you have not seen this movie I do recommend watching it is a good funny movie, that does not stop being funny even during some of the more serious scenes it has some hints of still being funny. Know one that I can think go could have played the character of Olive better than Emma Stone did, she was perfect for the role. So was the supporting cast; all were funny in the roles they were in and did not seem to over do it while in character. I do recommend watching this movie.

My Review-

The first silent film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 83 years. However I still need to watch a few more films to see if it should have won this years Best Picture, now I am not talking down the film I enjoyed it very much it was good, and some scenes really stood out for me than others in this film. This is the second film to be on my daily movie that is a silent film, I will admit at first I did not want to watch it because in my opinion I am very picky about the silent films that I watch and will some times most likely enjoy since they were the first time of films made. What made this film work for me is that it dealt with the end of the silent film era and the start of the "talkies". Even though it is a silent film, the acting works really well in the film, because it is all about facial expressions to tell us what is going on with actors. Once again like in most of his movies John Goodman was my favorite in the scenes that he was in, I was surprised to see some of the actors that I saw in the movie. I applaud this movie for taking the risk at making a silent film, and then it winning Best Picture is a huge achievement. The main reason I believe the movie did so well was because of the acting by Dujardin he just had a presence on screen that instantly made you like him, like some of the silent film starts from back in their time. At times for me the movie felt just a tad bit boring, then the next scene would pick back up and kept going. One of my favorite scenes in the film is the dream that Dujardin's character has about hearing sound for the very first time, I thought that scene was done very well and had hoped they would have done a little more with sound and not until the very end, but it would not have worked like it did if there was sound only twice in the film like there was. This was a good movie, but I need to watch a few others to give my opinion on what movie should have won best picture this year, I just have a few more to watch.

My Review-

There have been some documentaries that I have seen so far during these last few months for my one movie a day, and only two have made me angry at what I was watching. Not angry in a way that I regret watching the movie, or choosing it for that day. Angry in the way, that I could not believe this was happening and no one was there to try and stop it. They just let it go on as if it did not bother them that much. The Cove is a documentary about one man Rick O'Barry and the group of people he recruited to tell this horrifying story of how thousands of dolphins are killed each year in Japan. The worst part is the last half of the documentary, which is also in a way the best part of the movie; it sort of becomes a spy movie, since they need to capture the slaughter of the dolphins at this cove in Japan without getting caught. So in way it way it became a spy thriller while still being a documentary about awareness. The reason why it became horrifying is because of the footage that the cameras caught, were almost hard to watch, but needs to be watched because of what is going on. The documentary also deals with all the sort of politics of why this happening and why it goes on, also it goes into the other people that are trying to stop it, by risking everything. This is a documentary that needs to be watched, it should not be passed up because it looks boring or you do not want to watch it because of what it's about, you should watch it because, you need to be aware of what is going on. I am glad that I watched this documentary to see what was going on in Japan, and most of the people that live in Japan were like myself and probably still are, they have no idea that his is going on. You want to watch a documentary that will keep you at the edge of your seat or wanting you to see what is going to happen next? watch this film.

My Review-

At times this movie can be too over the top, and other times it is really funny but all in all what made the movie was the two main characters, who also created South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. For me this was really the only thing that had me going in this movie. Some of the scenes were funnier than others, a little more gross, but it seemed to have the trade mark south park humor. I liked how they had real sports commentators in the movie which brought a little more realism to the movie, it seems like the cheesiness of some of the touchy scenes worked best for the movie, and it made it a little bit funnier then is should have been. I liked all the cameos they had in the movie of real sports athletes and superstars from the 1990s, what is a very confusing game at times turns out to be a pretty good movie, but it is a movie that should be only watched once in a great while, but not all the time.

My Review-

The only thing going for this movie, are the hot girls in the movie. Frankly that was the best part of the movie for me. The rest of it was just kind of confusing, at some points I did not know what the hell was going on with this movie, one of the only other reasons why I wanted to watch was because Jon Hamm was going to be in it and he was in it for like all of 2 minutes! that is totally uncalled for. Other times the movie was quite interesting with the music that was chosen to go along with the movie...but Emily Browning does not say a word for the first 20 minutes of the film! and she's the main character, there was something wrong with that picture. You would think since she is the main character she would talk more, the best part of the movie was the Opening leading up to the title of the movie, after that it just got kind of boring and confusing. I had more hope for this movie, the only good thing about was once again the girls, especially Emily Browning, as my brother said "she sure did grow up".

My Review-

There are not a lot of father son movies that I have seen that are quite as good as this one. This movie was recommended by a lot of people, and even some books that I took a looks at.  I'am glad that I chose this movie to be on my list, that is said to be one of the movies to watch before you die. In a way I do not want to give anything away because this movie should be seen, even though it was made towards the end of the 1940s and is an Italian film, that does not matter in this case. This movie made me start to love foreign films, just a little bit more. even though at times there were no subtitles when the characters were talking it was still a very good movie, that was the only problem that I had with it, were the lack of subtitles in some of the scenes, other than that it was a good movie. Without giving anything way it should be seen for yourself if you love film or would like to start watching different kinds of movies, watch this one.

My Review-

This one of the first movies to come from the once canceled series. Well watching this it felt like a glorified episode from the show. However I did like it, the show was really good then it got canceled, this made it feel like the show never really left and all the characters were just as they were before it got canceled. There were some parts that were not as funny as others, and some jokes were not as funny as I thought they would be, but watching the show when it came on, and sometimes still I still enjoyed it. The story of time travel made it more interesting the rest of the movie and how Bender would mess things up for his own personal use. I would recommend this to someone who likes the show, because it seemed like it was made for the fans and the fans only.
